#agentabove is more than just a hashtag!

This isn't a "look at me" article. In fact, I almost didn't write it because talking about production numbers can easily come across the wrong way, not to mention pretty boring!  You guys probably much prefer cute pics of our dogs, am I right?

Well, there’s usually plenty of that, especially if you’ve friended me on Facebook or Insta.

But after decades in Real Estate, I've learned that my clients deserve transparency, and they don’t seem to mind a ‘peek behind the curtain’ from time to time. They deserve to understand who they are really hiring when they choose me as their go-to REALTOR®.

Recently, I came across an interesting national statistic highlighting the average number of transactions completed by agents at several major brokerages.  Even I was surprised at that gap, though I should not have been, RE/MAX has always attracted the best of the best, for many reasons.

In 2025 my team represented 37 sellers and 28 buyers, totaling 65 transaction sides (and more than $50 million in real estate sold).

And while those numbers may sound impressive, that's not the point. The point is what those transactions represent:

The reality is that buying and selling a home rarely sometimes doesn’t go according to plan. The beautiful photos, open houses, and accepted offers are only part of the story. The real value of an experienced agent often shows up when things get complicated.

Those aren't hypothetical situations. They are real situations that happen every day in Real Estate. And these few examples are only a fraction of the hundreds of different scenarios that could pop up along the way.

The question isn't whether you'll encounter challenges during a transaction. The question is whether your agent has encountered them before and is properly equipped to handle them.

That's why transaction count matters. Not because it tells you who's busiest. Not because it tells you who has the biggest marketing budget. And certainly not because it determines who is the "best" REALTOR®.

The truth is, not all REALTOR® are created equal. Some treat Real Estate as a hobby. Some treat it as a side business. Others dedicate themselves to building a career, earning trust, maintaining relationships, and continuously serving clients year after year.

So when you're interviewing agents, dig deep, do your homework, ask for referrals, read the reviews, ask the tough questions.
